The society hosts adoption centers at PetSmart stores in East Greenbush and Glenmont, with hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The society's animal care facility is at 3 Oakland Ave. in Menands. It's open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. It's closed on major holidays.

Adoption fees are on a sliding scale of $120 and up for dogs, and $75 and up for cats. Adoption fees for elderly animals and those with special needs are $25 and up. All fees include spaying/neutering, rabies and distemper vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and flea treatment and heartworm testing for dogs and FIV/FeLV testing for cats.
